Could someone explain and simplify how the sell and stay option works to tap into your home’s equity?
Many people assume that to tap your home equity, you have to go to a lender or realtor. Home equity loans and lines of credit are probably the most popular ways of turning equity(Continue reading)
Speaking from experience, I’d say freedom of choice.
I don’t know if I have a ‘lot of money’ but I 30 and have enough that I don’t have to work if I don’t want to. I still work and still live frugally.
It’s just that I like growing my capital so that the return create a snowball effect with a bigger capital and bigger return.
Overtime you do allow yoursel a nicer lifestyle, you can cope/follow on with friends when doing some out of the blue cool (but pricey experiences).
More importantly, the freedom. I can’t tell you how fun and entertaining work becomes when you go each morning knowing you don’t *reallyhave to. There’s still plenty of difficulty or annoying moments at work but that’s part of the package; overall you know you’re there because you want to not because you have to… that freedom alone is worth it 🙂
totally stress free.
“I was once told that certain spiritual masters in Tibet used to set their teacups upside down before they went to bed each night as a reminder that all life was impermament. And then, when they awoke each morning, they turned their teacups right side up again with the happy thought, ‘I’m still here!’ This simple gesture was a wonderful reminder to celebrate every moment of the day.”
1. Be nicer to others
Researchers call this “practicing loving kindness.” What it boils down to is being kind to people you interact with in the course of your day. Help someone with a heavy load. Run an errand for your sick neighbor. Give a co-worker a boost with a thoughtful compliment.
When you show sincere kindness toward others, it activates a portion of your brain that helps you feel pleasure. Research has also shown that your generosity of spirit might even be contagious, so you may spread happiness to others as you go.
2. Start meditating
Loving-kindness meditation (LKM) encourages you to sit quietly while you think warm, loving thoughts. People who practice LKM for an hour a week report that they feel more contentment and joy.
Likewise, mindful meditation — which helps you increase your awareness of the present moment and become more accepting of yourself — has been shown to enlarge the part of the brain that regulates emotions. That can help you maintain happy feelings even when faced with life’s inevitable obstacles.
We all know that exercise contributes to overall health, but researchers have found it can also make you happier. In one
What’s more profitable, to invest in art or the stock market?
Did you know only 1% of day traders actually turn a profit? So why are so many of us mistaking picking stocks for serious investing? You can’t control the markets, but you can control your risks. So how do billionaire investors control their risk? They invest in blue-chip art.

Peace of mind.
My wife asks me constantly why save money if I don’t spend it, here are examples where this money comes handy:
- If you have an unexpected expense, for example car repairs or the need to replace a dryer, it’s easily manageable.
- No need to take the highest-paying job necessarily, you can pick the one the most enjoyable.
- Travelling plans depend on taste, as opposed to go where you can afford.

Now that you have all of this money, you can finally stop thinking about it, how to get richer, and focus on the more simple things that come with life, like laughing, finding beauty in the world, or knowing you can help the next person you meet on the street achieve his or her dream. To me, that’s pretty awesome feeling, the feeling of being a ghost. At least that’s how I picture I would feel.
